Grand Avenue/Highway 23 To Close Friday Night

Drivers who use Grand Avenue/Highway 23 will want to know about a closure that is scheduled to happen Friday night into early Saturday morning.  The roadway will be completely closed to traffic starting at 10:00 PM on Friday, June 24 until 6:00 AM Saturday, June 25 in order to accommodate crews who will be taking out a pedestrian bridge near Grand Avenue Place.

The detour for the closure will take drivers along Becks Road and I-35.

Work along this stretch has accelerated as crews progress through the second year of the two-year project.

When finished this fall, drivers will experience completely new pavement from Gary-New Duluth to I-35.
