Didn't get to talk to Daryl on the air this morning, but I wound up chatting a little later and he talked about a couple of things. First of all, Goliath, a cat that needs a home and also how to help out a senior you know with a companion.

Daryl tells us about Goliath:

Goliath is a grey tabby who is 6.5 years old . He came to us as a transfer from a different shelter and is now looking for his new loving home! Goliath is an adventurous cat who would love to reign supreme! But don't let the tough name fool you, this fella loves a good cuddle. He has been neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. If you are interested in adoption, please visit Animal Allies at 4006 Airport Road or give us a call at 218-722-2110 for more information!

Thanks Daryl, here's Goliath's fast facts:
Primary Color: Tabby
Weight: 12.66
Age: 6yrs 6mths 0wks

Here's something else I talked about with Daryl, Sidekicks for seniors. Here's what he had to say:
Another great program at Animal Allies is Sidekicks for Seniors. Animal Allies is offering no-fee adult cat adoptions and $50 off all dog and kitten adoptions to any adopter 60 years of age and older.
In addition to providing companionship, there are many health benefits to having a pet including: lowering the risk of heart disease, lowering blood pressure, reducing stress, and so much more. If you know a senior that would want a pet or you are a senior and would like a companion to look after, this would be a great program for you, just call Animal Allies.
