George Harrison Hologram Would Be ‘Unkind and Unfair,’ Says Olivia Harrison

How many times have we heard people clamoring for a Beatles reunion? Too many to count! But with the advent of the hologram technology, it would seem that the door is open for it to potentially happen.

However, Olivia Harrison is having none of it, saying that her late husband George Harrison‘s legacy is best left alone. The widow Harrison told Mojo magazine, “I don’t think I could handle that. I think that would be unkind and unfair to him too. He needs to be where he is, y’know – I’m sure he’s occupied.”

The idea started to pick up steam after the introduction of the Tupac Shakur hologram during Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre’s performance at Coachella earlier this spring. The Beatles had many offers to reunite over the years, with a multi-million offer from Saturday Night Live‘s chief Lorne Michaels in 1976 being the most famous one.

The original ‘Fab Four’ never performed together again after their split, though Sir Paul McCartney and drummer Ringo Starr have occasionally hooked up on stage over the years. McCartney hinted last year that he and Starr might team up again this year for the 2012 London Olympics.
