Gas Line Repair In Piedmont Heights Today; No Disruption In Service Planned

If you live in the Piedmont Heights neighborhood, you'll want to know that the City of Duluth Public Works and Utilities Department will be working on a gas main leak near Morris Thomas Road and Riveness Road.

No disruption to gas service is expected, but residents should be aware that the crew will be working on the problem.  The work does require staff to release some pressure and gas from the impacted section of the gas main before repairs can start. Residents in the immediate vicinity will detect a gas odor but,  there is no imminent danger. Crews plan to be finished with repairs by or before 1:00 p.m.
