Free Skate Events Planned For Families At Amsoil And At The DECC

Every kid dreams of skating on the brand new Amsoil Ice. The open area and new looking seats around. The City Of Duluth Parks and Recreation and UMD have teamed up to make that dream a reality.

There will be three open skate times available for kids. On November 29, there is free open ice skating with members of the UMD Bulldogs from 3-5 PM at the DECC AMSOIL Arena.

Then on December 27th during winter break the ice will be open from 3 to 5pm for open skate. The last open skate will be held January 31st also from 3 to 5 pm. Both of those sessions will be held at the DECC ice arena on the lower level.

All the events are open to the public for all ages. Children under 10 years of age must be supervised by an accompanying adult. There will be music and free prizes for kids. Participants must bring their own skates.
