This event is for people in Cloquet and Scanlon put on by the Cloquet Police Department and Animal Allies

This Saturday, Oct 6 from 9 am to 1 pm. Pet owners from Cloquet and Scanlon with proof of residency can have their pet microchipped and receive a brand-new
ID tag FREE OF CHARGE at this special ‘Chip and Tag’ event sponsored by the Cloquet Police Department.

Animal Allies Humane Society’s medical team will be on site to provide the Microchipping service and create custom tags for 100 pets. The Cloquet Police Department recognizes the benefits of microchipping. Since they have purchased a
microchip reader already this year, they hope this will help to find lost pets, reuniting owners and their dogs or solving pet crimes.

Animal Allies Humane Society staff are excited to provide this opportunity. Daryl Yankee, Director of Operations at Animal Allies, says the benefits are huge, to find pets and get them back home will cut down on pets that make it into animal shelters. Sometimes pets wander farther than the area shelter and someone takes them in or they are brought to an animal shelter.
All pets must be leashed or crated, owners are responsible for picking up waste.
