The other day I left the office for lunch to run errands and was surprised to see a food truck in downtown Duluth.  Wondering if the lunch-on-the-run fad was making it's was to the Northland, I finally put two and two together to realize it was there for the farmers market.

I did make notice, though of the Chicago City Council giving the approval to food trucks in the Windy City.  Although these restaurants have been able to operate before, they are now able to cook in the mobile vehicles - something that is central to their business model.

However, food truck operators are still at odds with the City of Chicago over parking regulations.  City leaders did not change the ordinance that prevents the rolling restaurants from parking within 200 feet of a brick and mortar restaurant.
