Enjoy live performances in concert hall setting with 2 Steinway Grand Pianos. Our talented performers, some professionals, bring this happy, syncopated, toe-tapping music to life.
Performers come from the Twin Ports, the Twin Cities, Iron Range, Eau Claire, WI, near and far!!!
There will be short intermission for coffee, juice, cookies, meet the performers-some have CDs available.
Come enjoy this rollicking, happy music called Ragtime and its related music. Hear classic Ragtime compositions of the Giants of Ragtime like Scott Joplin, James Scott, Jelly Roll Morten, Fats Waller,Boogie Woogie like Mead Lux Louis , many others and the contemporary composers out there still composing this genre of music. Our concerts are FREE and open to all. Donations greatly appreciated to continue with these concerts to fulfill our goal of education and public performances of Ragtime and its related music.
Lake Superior Ragtime Society was founded in 1984 and is still going strong bringing this music to Duluth/ Superior.
