Essentia Health Offers Free Life Jackets for Kids and Teens

Having sailed on the Great lakes as a youth,  owning many boats, and living in Lake Nebagamon, I'm a firm believer in  the life vest no matter what type of watercraft you are using. I salute Essentia health and Kohl's Cares for both their awareness and generosity.  It’s simple: Life jackets save lives.

That’s why Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Children’s Hospital and Kohl’s Cares have teamed up for a third year for “Alive with Life Jackets,” a campaign that gives away life jackets and teaches water safety to kids and their parents.

“Alive with Life Jackets” will distribute more than 1,000 free life jackets from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, June 12, in Kohl’s parking lot at 2115 Miller Trunk Highway in Duluth. Children must attend so they can be properly fitted. Be on the safe side, get your life jacket!
