The Salvation Army is asking for your help and in turn will help you. Bell ringers are needed to help with the Salvation Army's Kettle Campaign. The non-profit group says they have nearly 800 two hour shifts that need to be filled, so here's how they will entice you to be a bell ringer.

According to a press release from the Salvation Army: any individual who signs up for three shifts will receive a pair of tickets to a Duluth Huskies baseball game in June 2015. Additionally, any group or business that registers for the most bell ringing shifts between now and Christmas will receive four VIP box seat tickets to a UMD Bulldogs hockey game at AMSOIL Arena. As if that’s not enough, the winning team will also earn a little hardware and receive the Red Kettle traveling trophy and “bragging rights” for the upcoming year.

So, if you have been contemplating ringing the bell and helping to raise much needed funds, here's what you do, click here and register online, or call the Duluth Salvation Army at 218-722-7934 and talk with June or Jill.

Where does the money go, last year the Duluth Salvation Army said they served more than 15,400 people through one or more of its services providing food, shelter, clothing and emergency help. Over half of the 122,424 meals served by the Duluth Salvation Army last year went to children ages 12 and under.
