Duluth’s I-35 Ramps Will See Closures On June 25th

Motorists in the Twin Ports will want to know about the following project that will impair traffic on Tuesday, June 25th.

The ramps from southbound Highway 53-Piedmont Avenue to northbound I-35 and to southbound I-535-Blatnik Bridge will close Tuesday, June 25th from 7AM to 8PM.  The ramp to southbound I-35 from southbound Highway 53-Piedmont Avenue will remain open.

A detour will be available for motorists traveling south on Highway 53-Piedmont to access northbound I-35 and to access southbound I-535-Blatnik Bridge.  Motorists may use the Bong Bridge as an alternative river crossing.

Crews will work all day to replace an overhead sign structure.  Closing the two ramps is the safest and fastest way to replace the sign structure.
