They keep us safe - so let's keep them safe, too!

On Wednesday, August 31 - state law enforcement agencies will be out making a visible effort to bring attention to the Tedd Foss Move Over Law.  Named for the fallen Minnesota State Trooper, the Ted Foss Law required vehicles that are traveling on a multiple-lane road to move over one full lane away from a stopped emergency vehicle that has it's lights flashing.  The effort helps to keep the officers safe while they go about performing their job.

The Move Over Law applies when any emergency vehicle with flashing lights is stopped alongside a multiple-lane highway - whether it's a police squad, sheriff or state trooper vehicle, ambulance, fire engine, or even a utility vehicle.

In an effort to bring attention the these efforts, the Duluth Police Department reached out on social media via Facebook.
