Hundreds of brave individuals jumped into the icy water of Lake Superior in support of the Special Olympics of Minnesota. The 2016 Duluth Polar Plunge saw welcoming air temperatures just shy of 40 degrees, but the nearly freezing temperature of the water gave every plunger a reason to be proud of the feat of taking the dip.

This year, 813 registered individuals plunged into Lake Superior, helping raise a total of $119,734 that will go to the Special Olympics of Minnesota.
