Duluth Lands A Lucky’s 13 Pub In The Former Old Country Buffet Site

When the Old Country Buffet closed a month or so ago, many lamented the loss of another dining choice in the Twin Ports.  Well, hungry Northlanders can rejoice;  it appears that food and drink chain that's growing in popularity will be bringing it's menu to the former mall location.

The establishment is called Lucky's 13 Pub and it's offerings could be compared to Applebee's - a chain that also has a mall-presence in Duluth.  The bar and grill got its start in Minnesota and has recently started branching out of it's Twin Cities metro locations into North and South Dakota.

Officials with Lucky's 13 Pub are hopeful that Twin Ports diners will grow to love their appetizers, burgers, sandwiches - even breakfast.  Of course the chain offers what they bill as their "famous" Bloody Mary.  From a quick glance at their website, it appears that they sometimes change up what they serve to fit the tastes of the area so it will be interesting to see what the Duluth Lucky's 13 Pub is like.

Officials with the company are suggesting a December opening.
