Two Duluth firefighters that were involved in the rescue of a victim from a vehicle submerged in the Saint Louis Bay last winter have received Certificates of Commendation for their efforts.

Duluth Fire Captain Scott Klieve and Duluth Firefighter Brian Black received the recognition from Duluth Fire Chief Bryan Bushey.  As part of the awards, it was noted that the rescue was performed in a professional and expedited manner, resulting in a successful resuscitation and subsequent full recovery of the victim.

Both Captain Klieve and Firefighter Black work on Rescue Company One - out of the Headquarters Fire Station.
