DTA Offers Free Trolley Service To Canal Park
In an effort to increase use of the Port Town Trolley service around the Canal Park area, the Duluth Transit Authority has taken away the fare for the service – making it free to ride. The move is effective immediately.
Earlier this season, the DTA had stepped up their efforts with the trolley – adding to the route and decreasing the wait time in between pickups; riders can now expect a trolley at each stop every 20 minutes. The move is part of a larger effort to reduce traffic in the Canal Park by giving the trolley option to those who would utilize parking ramps and spots in other parts of the city – including the DECC.
