Downtown Duluth Project To Temporarily Close Part Of Michigan Street On February 28

Drivers in downtown Duluth will see a temporary road closure on Michigan Street in order to make way for heavy equipment that will be repairing a financial institutions sign.

The closure will occur on Saturday, February 28 - at the intersection of 3rd avenue west at Michigan Street and the entire block of Michigan Street between 3rd and 4th avenue west - between the hours of 7AM and 5PM.  Heavy equipment will be on site in order to allow workers the ability to work on the Wells Fargo Bank sign.

Officials with the City of Duluth hope to have at least the intersection at 3rd avenue west open by Noon - depending on the progress of the project.
