Arch West - the man who created Dorito's - will be buried with his own creation, a fitting tribute to a man who first invented the snack chip 50 years ago.

A graveside service is scheduled for Oct. 1. Daughter Jana Hacker, of Allen, told The Dallas Morning News that the family plans on "tossing Doritos chips in before they put the dirt over the urn."

West was working for Frito Lay back in 1961, when he had the foresight to nationally market a style of fried tortilla chips he encountered while on vacation.

West was 97.
