Often times older people are misjudged. For example, the adage that the older people get, the more skeptical they become. Actually, this is a fallacy according to a report in AARP Magazine.

A study was made at the University of Texas, Austin, which  shows that older people are more likely to believe in the supernatural when it comes to major events such as illness and even death, than children and younger people.

The study shows that people who have lived through serious life events, become more religious, says Christine Legare Ph.D. I can attest to this because as life unfolds, we experience more, and in turn we ask questions and seek out answers. Seeking information on ghosts, astrology, and aliens for example. Most younger people, and certainly children have yet to experience most life changing events, so how could they possibly believe in the supernatural?
