If you've traveled to or from the Twin Cities at all this summer, you've encountered the resurfacing and bridge work being done between Hinckley and Pine City.  Officials with the Minnesota Department of Transportation suggest that the work is now half-way completed.  Even as the work progresses though, delays are expected to continue.

Northbound I-35 is closed at the St. Croix Valley Bridge - located just two miles south of Hinckley.  All traffic has been diverted to the southbound lanes in a head-to-head configuration.  At the same time, County Road 11 (Pine City) and County Road 14 (Beroun) ramps remain closed as part of the project.

Heavy delays are still being experienced by motorists - especially on weekends and holidays.

Work is expected to wrap up near the end of October.
