Many people who live in a climate such as ours in the Northland, suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD.) Many do not know the symptoms, or even know if they have it, they just plain don't feel well.

SAD is caused by a chemical reaction in the brain. Cloudy skies and dreary days exacerbate the situation, and it tends to become more severe the longer the bad weather continues. I've included a link to the Mayo Clinic site which describes the symptoms, causes, and what you should do if you feel you might have SAD.
