A month-long project to replace the bridge on Comstock Lake Road will close the roadway to traffic until it's complete.  Work will begin on August 21 according to officials with St. Louis County.

The bridge - which is located approximately 12 miles east of Cotton - was built in 1969.  Now that it has come to the end of it's service life, the county will expend $389,000 to install a box culvert - the designated replacement for the current steel-span bridge.
