City Council Ok With Changing The Color Of The Aerial Lift Bridge

Duluth's Aerial Lift Bridge was lit up pink to draw attention to the breast cancer cause. Now you might see some more colors to raise awareness and make the bridge a large speaker for causes.

The Northland’s NewsCenter is reporting that you can expect to see Duluth’s aerial lift bridge glowing with different colors in the future.

The Duluth city Council passed a resolution  that will allow groups to bathe the bridge in color to support charitable causes on a case by case basis. I hope this means we will see more of this, but not so much that it doesn't have any meaning.

Organizations will need to submit request to the city at least thirty days in advance.

This is something else I see as a unique way that Duluth can shine, and bring the bridge in to the next century as a landmark and keep it fresh and viable for future generations.
