For whatever reason, I love the complexities of the our calendar - those events that "only happen every so many years".  One of those sort of events is going to happen this Christmas.

During the Christmas overnight (the evening of December 24 to the morning of December 25), we will experience a full moon.  Due to the shifting schedules of both our calendar and the sky, this hasn't happened on Christmas since 1977.  And, it won't happen again until 2034.

While the moon will be fully visible for the majority of Christmas Eve and Christmas morning, if you want to see it at its peak spot in the sky in the Twin Ports, you'll want to be around at 5:11 AM our time (Central Time).
