The Olympics are over and the Duluth portion of the Gold medal winning team are arriving at the Duluth International Airport tonight. The group is slated to arrive around 5pm.

According to the Duluth Curling Club's facebook page, Doors will open at 4:30 pm with the program to commence at 5:00 pm. The athletes will enter the ballroom under a canopy of curling brooms! Mayor Emily Larson and Superior Mayor Jim Paine will make remarks and present a proclamation and special honor. Attendees will have a chance to hear from the Olympic athletes. Video highlights from hockey and curling will be presented by KBJR. Following the program, the public will have an opportunity to interact with our Twin Ports Olympians!

Free parking is provided until 6 pm courtesy of the DECC. Many thanks to the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center, Duluth Curling Club, University of Minnesota Duluth, The College of St. Scholastica, KBJR, and the Duluth and Superior Police Departments for their contributions to this special event.

The team will arrive home to cheering family, friends and fans Monday evening at 5:00 pm at the Duluth International Airport and will be escorted by Duluth and Superior Police as they depart for home from the airport.

The Olympians that are expected will be John Shuster; John Landsteiner, Tyler George, Joe Polo and Matt Hamilton. U.S. women's curling team members Cory Christensen, Aileen Geving, Cross Country Skiing Coach Chad Salmela and other Olympic team representatives are also included in the celebration.
