Talked with Daryl from Animal Allies this morning and there was some confusion why this cat was called Mr. Scarlet. At first we thought that this was a cat that was not identified right, then we heard a story that Mr. Scarlet was given an operation.

Every Wednesday at 8:10 Ken and I talk with Daryl Yankee from Animal Allies about the Pet of the Week.  This week we were unable to talk with Daryl and I thought I'd take the opportunity to give you info on their "Sidekicks for Seniors" program.

My friend Sandy in FL told me about these Quiet Moments calming treats and swore they worked.  I had looked at the local department stores we frequent and couldn't find it.  I figured I'd have to go to a local pet specialty store, but before we did we were camping and ran across a pet store that had them.  My experience is a review that will lend as a warning.

Talked to Daryl this morning about Lily. She is a Beagle, not like Snoopy. She won't complain to you while sleeping on her dog house. She doesn't have a bird for a best friend, BUT, she will give you love and just asks to be home with you in a safe place.

I've heard the term for a single older woman is a cougar, not always a good term. This term fits this cat, he's a Panther. His name and namesake. He is an older cat so he will be mellow and easy to have. He is looking for a good home.

I was ready to write about our pet of the week Marcus, who needs a little help, and a little extra care, but someone gave Marcus a loving home. So, if you thought Marcus sounded good, I have Stella. A last minute replacement.

Daryl had a couple of cats to talk about, Rascal and Yum Yum, seems they have become friends and have a hard time being away from each other. Animal Allies likes to keep pets like that together.

Every week I talk to Daryl, he introduces us to a featured pet. I have to say thank you to everyone so far, because each week we have been able to get the pets a new home. That's what we are trying to do.

I am NOT a reptile fan.  Snakes, lizards, gaters, crocks, don't want to have anything to do with them.  So I was horrified when I saw that a woman in Florida was selling an alligator, albeit it's a fully trained one.  What does that mean????

Her breed sounds like you need to drink with your pinky up, a Staffordshire Terrier. Daryl talked to me on the phone about what this weeks pet of the week is really like. She is bubbly and just looking for a home and someone to love her.

Daryl is back on with me in the morning after having a vacation. Let's get our latest pet a forever home. Bently is the name of the dog we are featuring this week. He has the name of a butler and just wants to please you and snuggle. He's a lover looking for a home.
