Summer in Duluth is in full swing though it may not feel like it with the current fog and cooler temperatures. Nevertheless, there are numerous fun activities planned for people of all ages through the Duluth Parks and Recreation division and community partners. The summer line up is filled with lots of free programs that promote active and healthy lifestyles by exploring our city parks and facilities.
It's been a wet, cold spring and summer in Minnesota. All of that moisture has caused flooding in many areas of the state. Now, flooding is causing Minnesota's biggest amusement park to close some of their rides and alter their parking situation.
Whether yours is a trike, a two-wheel trail or dirt bike, or a big ten- or twelve-speed, everyone is welcome to come with their bicycles on Wednesday, June 25 to the Superior Public Library North Parking Lot for a Bike Rodeo event.
The Duluth Police have such a hard job when Grandma's Marathon comes around. They do a great job, and part of it is the communication with people letting them know the changes in traffic and where to go if you want to stay out of the way.

I stop in to our neighbors at the BP once in a while in the morning to get something to drink or a snack and I saw this display for a "Superband" that would keep the bugs off your kids, they were only $1.79, how bad could they be. So, I had the kids wear them and here's what they had to say.
Duluth has some great trails and areas to bike and walk. June 7th is National Trails Day, and the city is looking for volunteers to help clean and prepare the trails, walkways, and biking areas for public use.
