April 2, 2013 Hurricane Sandy did more than claim a lot of the East coast. The HMS Bounty was one of the Tall Ships to visit Duluth, and the crew made some friends in the Twin Ports. When the ship went down, I remember seeing the updates on Facebook and the comments people made because they had a connection with the crew.

April 1, 2013 I think there are a few things people can remember, one of them is the night Michael Jackson "Moonwalked" on stage at the Motown 25 show. The next day, everyone either did a great version of it, or a lousy one, like me.
March 27, 2013 I love this time of the season, when Parks and Rec start opening sign ups for sports and other park and warm weather activities. The snow starts to melt. The time of the year when your brain shifts from thinking about shoveling to what kind of fun you can have in the outdoors without a jacket again.
March 27, 2013 The public is invited to attend the City of Duluth Parks and Recreation Commission's annual meeting on Wednesday, April 3rd beginning at 5:00 PM. The meeting will be held at the new Public Safety building located at 2030 Arlington Avenue.
March 27, 2013 My kids are pretty cool kids, JJ can fight off dragons (at least in his video games) and can finish a 70 page book in an evening. Sam can sing "Rock and Roll All Night" all the way through and pound out other KISS songs pretty well, but this kid is great!!

Congrats to The Duluth Curling Club, every year they hold their annual House of Hearts Celebrity Bonspiel, to raise money for the St. Lukes Foundation. This year they raised over $28,000 to help replace 3 cardiac ECHO machines.
