Mini golfers from around the Twin Ports putted their way around Downtown Duluth on Saturday (April 13) for the first ever Duluth Pub and Putt event. In an endeavor between the radio stations of Townsquare Media and the Greater Downtown Council, golfers visited seven different mini golf holes hosted at downtown bars and restaurants.

April 10, 2013 There are two Duluthians from WWII who received the Military’s highest honor, the Medal of Honor. On Tuesday, May 7 2013, Veterans’ Memorial Hall will hold the opening event for an exhibit that showcases one of these local heroes, Major Henry A. Courtney, Jr.
April 10, 2013 Did you enjoy HBO’s hit miniseries Band of Brothers? Then you are invited to screen in the Veterans’ Memorial Hall a free showing of HBO’s follow-up miniseries, The Pacific. This will kick off an upcoming exhibit, Never Forgotten, which will feature Henry A. Courtney, who was a local Medal of Honor recipient who served in the Pacific theater.

April 2, 2013 Hurricane Sandy did more than claim a lot of the East coast. The HMS Bounty was one of the Tall Ships to visit Duluth, and the crew made some friends in the Twin Ports. When the ship went down, I remember seeing the updates on Facebook and the comments people made because they had a connection with the crew.
