January 8, 2013 It's one of the oldest in Wisconsin, it's the fifty fourth annual Lake Nebagamon Fisherama on January 27th. Folks are already selecting their favorite spot on the lake and bringing out their ice houses, more each day.
We had a blast last night with over 300 of the Northland's best listeners all packed in Grandma's Sports Garden for our first ever Listener Appreciation Party. The free buffet wasn't the only thing putting smiles on our faces. We got a chance to see grown men on stage rubbing midsections together in attempt to pop a balloon, our very own open mic night with wanna-be comedians, and more hula-hooping than a post-prom party. Thankfully the party wasn't interrupted by the Canal Park power failure!
December 23, 2012 The story is easy for the Green Bay Packers. Win out and they are number three seed. Get help by having San Francisco lose out and the story changes. Green Bay already the winner of the NFC north.
December 21, 2012 For a little community, we do a lot of cool things during the Holiday season. One of my favorite is when Santa arrives via firetruck on Sunday the 23rd.
Parents call the Village Hall and request Santa to stop at their home. Nobody knows when Santa will be at their house, so all evening, the children wait with great excitement for his arrival. Often times the parents are as excited as the children, continually peeking out the window to see if Santa is here.
December 20, 2012 The often outspoken political activist, singer, songwriter Paul Simon paid tribute to the heroic deeds of Sandy Hook teacher Victoria Soto at her funeral on Wednesday. The 27-year old Soto died protecting her first grade class from the gunman who ravaged the Sandy Hook School last week - by making sure they got into a closet before stepping in front of the gun that took her life
December 20, 2012 Three weeks ago I wrote a post titled "In Cold Blood" Murder Case Set To Reopen, the tragic story of the murder of four people in a Kansas farmhouse by Richard Hickock and Perry Smith.Truman Capote became fascinated by the story, and together with Harper Lee, interviewed witnesses and investigators which eventually became the basis for his book "In Cold Blood."

Steve and Jane heard of the terrible living conditions and poverty in Haiti through through their church and COFHED. Shocked at what they found out, they decided to take a trip to Haiti and see for themselves. They found the water was unfit to drink, deplorable living conditions, very little food, and no clothes or shoes for the children among other things.
