Lunch with the History People has a really good speaker with a really good story this thursday. Judge John DeSanto, former St. Louis County Attorney, presents “The Glensheen Murders: Over 36 Years of Mystery & Intrigue.” He will cover the disturbing details in the Congdon murders.

Suzie Plakson joined me on the morning show for almost a week talking about acting, singing, dreaming and her new venture......writing a book. "The Return Of King Lillian" was more than a book, it was an e-book/audio book. Now, she is reading parts of it online. Making it more exciting because now you can see her facial expressions.

Over the weekend, I read "I, Rhoda" the life story of Valerie Harper. I didn't really no what to expect when I got the book, but being a huge fan of the days when Valerie Harper was on "The Mary Tyler Moore" show and her spin off "Rhoda", I had to give it a go.

I never met Bridget Zinn, but I love her for what she's done. I am privileged to have known her late Mother (Kate) and Father (Dick) who were wonderfully kind to both Susan and myself. They both attended our wedding, and livened up Lake Nebagamon wherever they went. Five years ago, Kate died and Dick eventually moved out West.  Bridget remained in Wisconsin.

Suzie Plakson is an actress, voice over, sculpter. When she kept having dreams of another world, she couldn't ignore them anymore. So she wrote a book, with her voice.

Last week I attended a meeting with my digital staff and our Digital Content Manager Stephanie who came in from New York. After going over figures and stats we took a quick break in the meeting and just kicked back for a few moments. In conversation with Stephanie, she happened to mention how much she enjoyed books as opposed to e-books.

I'm not alone in loving trains. The size, the power, the smell of diesel fuel and a friendly wave from the engineer as you watch the train go by. Kids love trains too,just ask my grandson Gus. We watch Thomas the Train whenever he comes over to our house, and of course he has many train books, and even a couple play trains. Looks like a new book will be heading to his house soon.
