So she's done it again.  The woman who's famous for no reason is all the talk on the web - and this time she's promising to "break the internet" - at least that's what her nearly-naked magazine cover suggests.

But, can Kim Kardashian really break the internet?  In fact - is it possible for the web to collapse with just a randomly-posted picture?

The answer isn't simple.  While an image of piece of data that is trending can cause a slow down in the resources that are available world-wide on the internet - they wouldn't really "break" it.  Things would slow to a crawl, you might bet errors while a server tries to process your request, but the infrastructure that's in place would still be there waiting to be used once the run on the available data is over.
