Cable TV Email Scam Makes Its Rounds In Duluth

The Duluth Police Department is warning about a scam that's making its rounds throughout the Twin Ports - relating to the cable provider in our market.

The scam shows up as an email in your inbox - seemingly coming from Charter Communications.  The email suggests that the recipient has "violated HBO copyrights and illegally downloaded Game of Thrones".  The email then directs the recipient to click a link and pay the fine.

It goes without saying that  this is a scam and receivers of the email should ignore and delete the message.
