Bridge Inspection Brings Bridge Ramp Closures April 17-18

Routine inspections will result in some temporary ramp closures for drivers who use the Bong Bridge and I-35 on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 17 and 18.  According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, the closures will occur during the middle parts of the  - after the morning commute and ending before the evening commute.  Closures will happen between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

The following ramps will see the daytime closures:

• Inspections on the ramp from northbound I-35 to northbound Highway 53 will occur on April 17
• Inspections on the ramp from westbound Highway 2 to northbound I35 will occur on April 19

As with any road construction project or survey work, drivers are asked to use extra caution and be observant as they drive through the work zone.
