If you have a child in boy scouts and you recently bought a neckerchief slide, you'll want to know about the recall in place from the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission.  According to news sources the neckerchief slides have high levels of lead that exceeds the federal content ban.

The slides in question were manufactured in China and were sold via the Boy Scout retail sites and their website from February  to August of this year. Four styles of slides are affected:  the red wolf, green bear, orange lion and blue Webelos designs.  Each of the affected slides contains the wording "Made in China".  In addition, one of the following P.O. numbers will be stamped on a white label that's attached to the back:  200228276, 20023175, 200233281 or 200236630.

According to a report issued by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, "Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health issues."
