American Society of Plastic Surgeons data shows that the number of women getting surgery on their breasts and buttocks increased dramatically between 2000 and 2011, while the number of major facial surgeries, including nose jobs and facelifts, declined sharply. “One thing we see referenced often are celebrities who have sort of arisen as the ‘it’ person — Kim Kardashian is probably the most common,” said Tom Seery, CEO of RealSelf.com, a plastic surgery website that saw a 39 percent jump in the number of searches involving butt augmentation last year. Users also envied the curves of Pippa Middleton and Beyoncé he said.
