Father's Day is Sunday, June 19th this year and your Dad deserves a day that he'll remember and we are here to help you accomplish that goal with the list of best places to take your Dad this year, please share your ideas at the bottom of the list in the comments, enjoy and Happy Fathers Day!

Lake Superior Zoo

Show your Dad how "wild" you are about him by spending the day at the Lake Superior Zoo, they have a great event "Wild About Dad" this year on Fathers Day from 10am - 1pm.

While you're there check out the three new gray wolves that are settling into their new home in a specially designed exhibit at the zoo.

Golf Day

loading...

If your Dad spends as much time on the greens as he does with you, then you might want to send him to play 18 or maybe join him for a round, either way Dad will enjoy a day of his favorite sport.

You could hook Dad up with a summer long Fathers Day by getting him the Northland Golf Trail Card, it gives Dad a chance to play at Black Bear Golf Course in Minong, Hidden Greens North, Big Lake Golf Club, Lester Park Golf Course, and Poplar Golf Course, he'll get four rounds of eighteen holes at each course, for a total of 20 rounds for only $179.00, if you have siblings, pool your money and surprise Dad!

Vista Fleet BBQ and Beer Cruise

loading...

Vista Fleet offers a great Father's Day activity with the BBQ and Beer Cruise, this combines several of Dad's favorites things, food, beer, boats/water and his family!

On the cruise Dad will enjoy delicious Famous Dave's BBQ which includes ribs, roasted chicken, baked beans and more. Dad can wash all that down with a tap beer while cruising around the lake.

Duluth YMCA

loading...

Take Dad to the Duluth YMCA for a day of fun with fun planned activities to keep Dad and child entertained for hours.

Father and child pairs will participate in the YMCA Father’s Day version of the Newlywed Game to see which pair knows each other best, plus team building activities, and open swim! Most activities are most appropriate for fathers with children ages 5+ although any age is welcome to try form 1-3pm on Fathers Day! Contact Emily at 722-4745 x131 for more information.

Park Point Picnic

loading...

Load up the family, food and some fun activities for a fun Father's Day outing.  We are all aware of the unpredictability of Mother Nature, but hopefully she will respect Father's Day with some nice weather to enjoy.

Pack up some sandwiches and Dad's favorite treat, homemade cookies maybe, along with some games to play in the open areas around Park Point.  If the weather is really nice and your daring enough, go for a family swim.

Most of all have a great day with Dad, enjoy every second creating a life long memory with your Father! Happy Father's Day from everyone here at Kool 101.7!
