We love movies as much as the next guy, but let's face it -- there are far too many out there to keep straight. We're fortunate, then, that the fine folks at Cool Material have created an A-Z list of the best flicks ever. Now if somebody could just update our Netflix queue for us, we'd be golden.

The concept is simple -- each letter of the alphabet is only allowed one movie. So tough decisions must be made like 'Blade Runner' or 'Boys N the Hood', 'No Country for Old Men Men' or 'Norbit' and 'Ishtar' or 'I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry.' NO ONE SAID THIS WOULD BE EASY!

Sure, there are some problems with the list, but they get it mostly right. 'Apocalypse Now,' 'The Godfather: Part II,' 'Jaws,' 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' and 'No Country for Old Men' deserve their spots for sure. All great flicks. The inclusion of 'Into the Wild,' a film which few people have actually seen, puzzles us a bit. Why not something more popular like 'Independence Day' instead? Granted, 'ID4' isn't the best film ever made, but Randy Quaid flies a F/A-18 Hornet into the belly of a massive alien spacecraft. Oh, and Will Smith coldcocks an alien right in the face. For these reasons alone, it deserves an honorable mention at least.

Personal preference for disaster flicks aside, the glaring omission of 'Star Wars' from the list seems mighty strange, especially when geek favorites like 'Back to the Future,' 'The Dark Knight,' 'The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers,' 'The Matrix' and 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' all get their due. Just wait until Lord Vader hears about this.
