Backup Singers Get Newfound Respect in “Twenty Feet From Stardom” Documentary [VIDEO]

Several years ago, I interviewed Darlene Love and Mary Clayton, both appearing in this  film. I have stated many times on radio and print, great backup singers Like Darlene and Mary are vital to rock & roll, and always have been. The public eye has been so accustomed to directing their adoration towards the lead singer and/or band, that more often than not, the backup singers get ignored. I think this documentary will change that. I hope you will watch it, and I'm sure you will come away with a newfound respect for the people with the beautiful voices that have added so much to our music. It has been too long in coming.
