The Top Ten Car Brands For Women

Before you read much further, take a minute and try to think what the top ten are. That's what I did, and guessed most of them wrong. I think it's the little things that appeal more to women. I remember saying to my Wife, "babe, maybe we should trade yours in and get something newer" to which she replied, "no, I like mine, it's got heated seats

Survey: 87% Plan A Traditional Mothers Day Gift

I think people are getting back to basics, and that's a good thing. Mothers Day to me is a more "traditional" holiday if you will. Tech gifts might have been more appropriate for Christmas or birthdays is my guess.
Plan on giving a tablet, smartphone or other tech device on Mother's Day? Consider yourself in the minority.

A survey from online shopping site PriceGrabber finds only 13% of consumers said they would buy a tech-related item as a gift for Mother's Day.

Sheriff Joe Takes On President Obama

I love this guy. He's outspoken, tells it like it is, tough on crime, and is not afraid to take on anybody..including the President.  How could you not root for a guy who dresses prisoners in women's underwear? We need more like him

The Engineer Behind The Original Volkswagen

With Volkswagen Company  coming to Duluth next month, I thought you might find the history behind the original VW interesting. The original concept, what it looked like, how it evolved. Enjoy.
The Extraordinary Life of Josef Ganz” tells the astonishing story of Josef Ganz, a Jewish engineer from Frankfurt, who in May 1931 created a revolutionary small car: the Maikäfer (German for May Bug). Seven years later Hitler introduced the Volkswagen. The Nazis not only “took” the concept of Ganz’s family car—their production model even ended up bearing the same nickname

Mitt Roney’s Favorite Apps

I guess if I were running for President, the apps I would frequently use would have to be brief, fast loading, and easy to use. What apps would you use? It's interesting to see what goes on during a Presidential run. Scrabble anyone?
He may be a multimillionaire running for the White House, but Mitt Romney is just like the rest of us when it comes to his iPad.The Republican presidential candidate’s campaign said that his favorite apps include Twitter, Scrabble, Yelp and the Drudge Report. He also likes Google Earth — presumably so he can deftly navigate his way along the campaign trail.

Riding A Mower To School Can Get You Suspended

I support these kids. Sure they did something unusual, but if that's the worst kids do today, the youth of America is in good shape.
Some students get busted for smoking grass; these boys got into trouble for cutting it. Nine seniors rode their lawnmowers to a high school last week and promptly received suspensions for two days. Huntsville school superintendent Robert Allen said the boys were punished because of school disruption, safety concerns and parking privilege violations. But no laws were broken.
