Hello, from a Northland girl born in Cloquet, raised in Wrenshall, and currently living in Duluth! I consider myself lucky to have been able to share my mornings and life with you since 1996. It's like audio Facebook. You're the reason getting up at 3am is totally worth it! I love hot buttered movie theater popcorn, the smell of a lake (especially if I’m fishing), and warm fuzzy blankets. I’m a lover, not a fighter, and yes it’s true, I get my hair cut on a weekly basis. Kudos to my family, Homie, Kylee, and my Schnauzer, Bauer for always being by my side. I appreciate that you wake up with the B105 Breakfast Club, read and share my blogs and most of all, your friendship through the years! Peace, love and hugs!

A Final Goodbye To Dave Minor, President Of The Superior Douglas County Chamber Of Commerce [VIDEO]
It came as shocking news when I first heard that Dave Minor, President and CEO of the Superior Douglas Chamber of Commerce had taken a position with another community. He has been a staple in the Superior community and while it's hard to see him go, I do want to see him continue to expand his horizons and bless others with his knowledge. We met briefly to reminisce, find out what he'll be doing
Top 5 As Healthy As You Can Get, New 2017 Minnesota State Fair Foods
The anticipation of eating several yummy foods at the Minnesota State Fair is a huge draw for me, but I struggle to "eat healthy". Usually what happens is I walk around and around while everyone I'm with is stopping to get what they want (usually several different kinds of food) and I end of with a bucket of chocolate chip cookies on the way out. LAME! This year I've done my research
5 Reasons A Summer Cold Sucks
My daughter has had two colds in the last month and I have managed to avoid getting sick, until this last weekend. It toyed with me too. I felt kinda funky on Friday night, Saturday it was better and then BOOM, it hit me on Sunday and now it's a full on summer cold...
Do You Remember These Car Dealerships In The Northland?
While my co-host Ken and I were playing a radio contest recently a gal with the last name of DeVinck won. I asked her if she was of the family that once owned DeVinck’s car dealership and she said yes! That got me thinking of all the car dealerships that I remembered in the Northland that aren’t around any longer. Please bear in mind that I wasn’t a “car girl” when I was younger and my memory is a
Review Of HooDoo Point Campground In Tower, MN
I recently officiated a wedding at Fortune Bay Casino. That's about 2 hours from our home in Duluth, so we decided to stay at a campground nearby and chose the HooDoo Point Campground. We had driven through it the year before and liked the sites right on the lake. After staying there for a weekend, here’s what we thought.
Behind The Scenes And In the Radar Dome At The National Weather Service In Duluth [VIDEO]
I'm use to educating people on the difference between a watch and warning when it comes to storms in the Northland, so when a special weather statement popped up on my phone, I had questions. Not only do I get my questions answered, but Carol from the National Weather Service at 5027 Miller Trunk Hwy in Duluth took us up in the Radar Dome (the big soccer ball in the sky on 53) to check out the ra
Review Of The New Crooked Pint Ale House In Duluth
There has been a plethora of restaurants that have opened up in the Northland and I had the opportunity to visit one of the latest, Crooked Pint Ale House at 1402 W Arrowhead Rd Suite 100 in Duluth. Here is my opinion on my first visit. (meaning there will be more).
Mother Asks For Return Of Missing Gravestone, No Questions Asked
Many of us have dealt with the loss of a loved one and know how very difficult it is. A Facebook share on a friend's page caught my eye and I knew I had to help get the word out to see if we could get the nearly 150 lb missing gravestone returned to the cemetery.
Has Your Child Ever Experienced Night Terror?
My daughter is 23 and as far as I know, she never experienced night terror. Like most children, she had her share of bad dreams now and then, but nothing that caused us concern. A Facebook friend, Anna brought night terror to my attention because she is asking if others have experienced this and what can be done about it. It isn't talked about much, can we help her?
Can You Believe It’s Been 5 Years Since The Flood Of 2012 [ PHOTO GALLERY]
It was 5 years ago that the rain started to fall and continued until there was between 7 and 9 inches in less than 24 hours. I remember driving to work thinking nothing of it until I started to see pictures of huge sink holes, big enough to swallow a whole car. It lead to days without power for some residents, the Lake Superior Zoo lost animals and Jay Cooke State Park will never be the same.

How Do I Pick A Home Food Delivery Service, Is It Worth It?
A few years ago I was enticed to go to a location and pre-make meals to freeze for the week. I found that wasn't for me because it still took a chunk of time to go make the meals. I've recently been introduced to the choice of home food delivery where you get the ingredients and recipes "mailed" to you. It's the latest trend and I want to try it, but what's the best?
UPDATE: Kudos To City Of Duluth, Fills Potholes In Record Time And Gives Number To Report Road Issues
I had planned on writing a blog to inform people in my neighborhood of road work starting in our area when I realized it was about 4-5 blocks from some huge potholes I encounter almost every day. So, I asked what it would take to get them to slide over and fill them, apparently, it just takes asking. They also gave me a number to share so you can call in your pothole issues.
