Applebee’s Duluth Location Part Of Minnesota E Coli Investigation

Scott Olson

The Duluth location of Applebee’s is one of of the locations that is tied to an outbreak of E. coli in Minnesota;  Thirteen cases have been reported so far with seven of the patients having Applebee’s as their common link.  Five Applebee’s locations have been mentioned in the investigation:  Blaine, Duluth, Monticello, Roseville, and Woodbury.

In a proactive response, the restaurant chain has voluntarily pulled their Oriental Chicken Salad from the menu of their Minnesota locations.

Due to the fact that only half of the cases have the restaurant chain in common, officials close to the investigation believe that the problem might be vendor-related.
