Daryl and I chatted about pets and about how pets help the seniors. The program is called sidekicks for seniors and here's how it works; The seniors get no-fee adult cat adoptions and $50 off all dog and kitten adoptions to any adopter 60 years of age and older.

In addition to providing companionship, there are many health benefits to having a pet including: lowering the risk of heart disease, lowering blood pressure, reducing stress, and so much more. If you are a senior or know one that this program would help, call the folks at Animal Allies.

So, then we talked about our pet of the week, Buddy Beagle.  Daryl says Buddy is a sweet beagle that came to Animal Allies from a previous home where his owner was going into a care facility and Buddy could not go with them. Buddy is looking for a new and loving home and someone that will play tug-o-war with him! Buddy has been neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. If you are interested in adopting Buddy, please speak with an Adoption Counselor today at Animal Allies at 4006 Airport Road or call  218-722-2110.
