As reported earlier, the Oliver Bridge will close for long periods of time this summer in order for CN Railroad to make repairs to the upper deck (the deck that contains the train track).  In general, the closures will happen during the daytime hours on most weekdays - excluding holidays - through the end of October.

When it was first reported, some media outlets announced the closure times that were listed on the signs that were places by Douglas County officials on the approaches;  those signs suggested that the closure would happen between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM - a time-frame that deviates from CN's usual practice of closing the bridge between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.  It appears that the signage has been changed/corrected to now show that the bridge will in fact be closed on weekdays this summer between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
