With all the events taking place in the last couple of weeks in music, I got to thinking. What happened to music, the good old days when people had mohawks and purple hair and wore a bra when they were being naughty?

I examined the events of Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus. Is it really all that different from our day. I know you are going to argue that at least people wore clothes. Did they?

Don't get me wrong, I love the old music and the new music. I listen to Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift and some of the newer artists. I was thinking, each decade they had rebels and people pushing the envelope for their time. It all depended on what was pushing the envelope. At one time it was really bad to have long hair. In the 80's I don't think anyone would have shaved their heads.

There was Elvis, KISS, The Beatles, Madonna, Duran Duran, Led Zepplin, The Who, Jane Child (look her up), Nirvana......the list goes on.

Is music really going off the deep end, no, I think information is traveling faster and people are noticed for the wierd things faster. People write about it faster, blog about it, tweet about it and post on facebook faster.

So am I becoming an old man? NO!

Now get off of my lawn!!
