Aerosmith‘s new album, ‘Music from Another Dimension,’ won’t be available until August 28, but the first single, ‘Legendary Child,’ is currently at No. 2 on Billboard’s Hard Rock Digital Songs Chart. The video for the song won’t be released for a few days, but today (June 3), they released a one-minute preview of what we can expect.

The clip features Joe Perry talking with director Casey Patrick Tebo about the video, as behind-the-scenes footage from the video shoot plays. Perry says that it’s reminiscent of their classic videos. “Turn the sound off, it works great,” he tells Tebo. “It’s kind of like an old standby from the days of making videos for MTV. If the video was good without the sound, then I knew we had something…It’s really an exciting piece.” Steven Tyler makes a brief appearance towards the end, telling Tebo the meaning of the acronym, “NTBFW.”

Tebo is currently directing a documentary called, ‘Aerosmith: Rock For The Rising Sun,’ which will be about their long history with their Japanese fans. According to his website, Tebo’s relationship with Aerosmith extends back to their 2003 DVD, ‘Rockin’ the Joint,’ and has been their live music director ever since. He has also directed shows such as ‘Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Years Eve’, and ‘VH1′s Fashion Rocks.’
