The work that they did on Arlington Avenue last summer left everyone who uses that route smiling;  Gone are the war-zone maze of potholes and new pavement is in its place.  The work shut the roadway down for a few weeks, but it was a minor inconvenience for such great results.

Workers from St. Louis County will be back to put the finishing touches to the project that totals more than $2.6 million.  Starting Tuesday April 19, expect some minor delays as workers adjust manhole covers between Trinity Road to Arrowhead Road.  In addition - starting in June, a crew will be back to add a final chip seal and final pavement markings.  The seal is a relatively low cost process that when applied is proven to greatly extend how long the road will last.
