What happens when you put more than 350 youth leaders in a conference room for half a day?  Organizers from the Iron Range Youth in Action (IRYA) believe that you get an investment in the future of our area.  That's the driving reason behind the Iron Range Young Leaders' Make A Difference Day Conference and the 22nd annual event is happening Monday, February 13 at Fortune Bay Resort.

Eight different morning workshops will be held, presented to students from all across the Iron Range.  These future leaders will learn about healthy family relationships, effective communication skills, self defense moves, responsible pet ownership, warning signals about unhealthy teen relationships, and more.

As in years past, the conference is funded in part by St. Louis County, the Partners Board, and numerous Iron Range area businesses.  IRYA is a service organization that brings together students from 11 schools and 37 communities.  The mission of IRYA is to promote youth leadership and bring positive change to northern Minnesota.
