Traffic across the 21st Street Viaduct in Superior will be affected two days in two different ways - March 22 and March 23.  One day will bring reduced lanes and the second will bring a complete closure.  To discourage surprise delays or distractions, the Public Works Department of the City of Superior is working to get the word out early.

On Thursday, March 22  the west-bound lane of North 21st street between Oakes Avenue and Elmira (the 21st Street Viaduct) will be closed between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM.  In order to allow traffic across, flaggers will be on the scene of the project to direct vehicles across.  Even though the route will still be open to traffic, the city is encouraging an alternative route to reduce delays and disappointments.

Meanwhile, traffic on  the viaduct will be closed completely on Friday, March 23 - also between the hours of 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM.  The city will post signs that outline a detour route.
