The 148th Fighter Wing of the Minnesota National Guard is currently deployed to southwest Asia, that makes it hard to run The William A. Irvin 5k, or does it.

Here's something I like to see, someone used their imagination in order to help our men and women serving our country.

Members of the 148th Fighter Wing of the Minnesota National Guard will organize a private 5K allowing them to virtually run the race where they are currently stationed. A virtual race provides an option in which registered participants can participate from anywhere in the world, including their location in southwest Asia. By participating remotely, members will be able to plan their race during an appropriate time of the day and schedule it around their current obligations.

All participants will be awarded the 25th Annual William A. Irvin 5K participant shirts, finisher medals, and commemorative socks. Good luck to them and thank you Grandma's Marathon.
